The EU project prepared by our Vocational School was among the 8 projects accepted within the scope of KA226 Partnerships for Digital Education Preparation. In the project titled "Digitizing Architectural Restoration Education Through Virtual Reality", it is planned that the courses in the field of Restoration and Architecture will be taught with virtual reality tools as if they were being held in a normal classroom environment. Thanks to the project, our university stood out among dozens of universities in our country and managed to take place in the list where projects from Istanbul, Boğaziçi, Hacettepe, Akdeniz, Marmara, Yıldız Technical Universities were accepted.
Safranbolu Vocational School Director Dr. Lecturer. In the project prepared by Dr. Yasin ORTAKCI, our Assistant Director Dr. Assist. Ömer DULKADİR from administrative operations, Dr. Lecturer Kasım ÖZACAR from the development of virtual reality applications, and Dr. Lecturer Kasım ÖZACAR from architectural design. Prof. Dr. Kasım ÖZACAR from the development of virtual reality applications and Lecturer from the development of architectural designs. Assist. Yavuz ERBİL will be responsible. The budget of the project, in which faculty members and students from Safranbolu Vocational School will also participate, is 131,750 Euros. The project, in which Stanfordshire University from England and Salento University from Italy will also take part as partners, aims to bring new approaches to digital methods to be used in education and to develop virtual reality applications to be used in architectural courses as a result of the project. At the same time, it is also aimed that the digital applications developed will shed light on the restoration works of our historical city and contribute to touristic promotion.
