History
Our school started education in Safranbolu, a world heritage city that has preserved the most beautiful examples of Ottoman building art and the old Turkish urban texture until today, in a building belonging to the municipality on 05.01.1992. Initially, our School of Higher Education, which continued its activities affiliated to Hacettepe University Zonguldak Engineering Faculty, was affiliated to Zonguldak Karaelmas University, which was established on 11.07.1992 with the law numbered 3837. Founded on 29.05.2007, our school, which was affiliated to Karabük University, provided education under the name of "Safranbolu Vocational School" until May 2021. With the Higher Education General Assembly meeting dated 26.05.2021, the name of our school was changed to "Safranbolu Şefik Yılmaz Dizdar Vocational School" in accordance with Article 7/d-2 of Law No. 2547 amended by Law No. 2880.
